{"id":5658,"date":"2021-05-04T09:08:52","date_gmt":"2021-05-04T16:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bornfitness.com\/?p=5658"},"modified":"2021-05-04T09:08:52","modified_gmt":"2021-05-04T16:08:52","slug":"move-boulders-not-pebbles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bornfitness.com\/move-boulders-not-pebbles\/","title":{"rendered":"Move Boulders, Not Pebbles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How much do you focus on adding superfoods to your diet?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What about counting the hours you fast, making sure you don\u2019t eat 5 minutes before your 16-hour intermittent fasting window is up?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you choose your workouts by obsessing over the \u201cbest\u201d exercises?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those details all count for something, but they are an illusion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They say the devil is in the details.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But, in fitness and nutrition, sometimes the details act like the devil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They trick you into focusing (and stressing) over minor decisions that don\u2019t lead to major results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to change for the better, you can\u2019t stress every decision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That happens when you build your foundation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And before you build a foundation, you need to make sure the blueprint looks like the house you want to live in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ll say it a thousand times over: many plans work. Most fail because you don\u2019t consider the most important variable: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tweetable\"><p>I\u2019ll say it a thousand times over: many plans work. Most fail because you don\u2019t consider the most important variable: you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you love carbs, don\u2019t build your diet around keto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you barely have time for friends and family, don\u2019t start with a program that requires 6 days per week of exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s not to say those are bad plans. It\u2019s also not to say you won\u2019t end up there one day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But, if you want to get to a better tomorrow, you need a plan that supports a better today.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your foundation is a boulder. It\u2019s big. It takes time to move. But, when it gets going, the changes are dramatic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The flashy stuff are pebbles. Pebbles carry dust.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you spend too much time kicking dirty, it\u2019ll make you blind and leave you eating dust.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many plans work.
