Sometimes it\u2019s my workouts and other times it\u2019ll be individual workouts from within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bornfitness.com\/coaching\" target=\"_blank\">Born Fitness online coaching program<\/a>. -AB<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>The Workout<\/h2>\n<p>I call it the &#8220;soul crusher,&#8221; but it was originally penned, &#8220;The Full Body Death Circuit,&#8221; by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bryankrahn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Krahn<\/a>. I\u2019m currently working on a special project with Brian (who is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bryankrahn.com\/services\/\" target=\"_blank\">one heck of a coach<\/a>\u00a0too), and this is our metabolic day from hell.<\/p>\n<h2>The Overall Workout Plan<\/h2>\n<p>This is just one day in a 5-day training cycle. The split is upper, lower, upper-specialty focused, lower-specialty, and metabolic (the full body circuit).<\/p>\n<h2>Bonus Tip(s)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Your grip is going to give out sometime around the step-ups and the split squats, so prepare to use lighter weights. Then it\u2019s a battle of wits once you hit the lunges.<\/li>\n<li>When you rest try to make sure you\u2019re as fully recovered as possible. Intensity is the most important variable in this workout, so don\u2019t rush through your rest period.<\/li>\n<li>This workout is great for fat loss and body recomp, and can even be used as a conditioning day in a muscle building workout.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>&#8220;The Full Body Death Circuit&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p><strong>How to do it:\u00a0<\/strong>Perform this workout as a circuit, doing one exercise after another with as little rest as possible. After you complete all 8 exercises, take a 2-4 minute break. Then repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 circuits.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Dumbbell press x 12-15<\/li>\n<li>Two-arm dumbbell rows x 12-15<\/li>\n<li>Dumbbell step ups x 10-12<\/li>\n<li>DB split squats x 10-12<\/li>\n<li>Walking lunge x 30 reps per leg (ugh)<\/li>\n<li>Bodyweight squats x 30 (because your legs don&#8217;t want to move)<\/li>\n<li>Pushups x AMAP (as many as possible)<\/li>\n<li>Reverse crunches x 10-15<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"width: 400px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-3751-1\" width=\"400\" height=\"222\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bornfitness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/full-body-death-circuit.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bornfitness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/full-body-death-circuit.mp4\">https:\/\/www.bornfitness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/full-body-death-circuit.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are workout challenges, and then there is this workout.
