Enter the salmon burger. High in protein and healthy fats, and when combined with the right flavors, still incredibly delicious. If you like sushi, you&#8217;ll enjoy this spin on the traditional salmon burger recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Born Fitness Recipes:\u00a0Salmon Burgers<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Fitness goal: <\/strong>Muscle gain, fat loss, general nutrition<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allergies:<\/strong> soy (from soy sauce),\u00a0eggs<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paleo friendly:<\/strong> Yes, unless you decide to add the bun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to make it vegetarian friendly:<\/strong>\u00a0If you&#8217;re a vegetarian that eats fish, you&#8217;re fine. If not, substitute\u00a0salmon for a mix of 1\/2 pound mushrooms, 1 can of lentils, and 1 large onion.\u00a0Follow the same instructions below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep time:<\/strong> 12 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook time:<\/strong> 15 minutes<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pound skinless salmon fillet, cut into chunks<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 cloves garlic, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>2 scallions, chopped<\/li>\n<li>4 tablespoons pickled ginger<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds<\/li>\n<li>lettuce wraps or buns of choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to make it<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>In a food processor, combine the salmon, egg, garlic, soy sauce, oil, scallions, and 2 tablespoons of the ginger. Pulse until coarsely chopped.<\/li>\n<li>Form into 4 equal (3\u201d diameter) patties. Sprinkle the tops with sesame seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Put the patties, sesame seed side down, in the pan. Cook for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for 5 minutes longer, or until done.<\/li>\n<li>Use the lettuce wraps\u00a0as the base\u00a0or just grab some good old fashioned buns (because bread is delicious).
