When I was younger, I could eat anything I wanted, and so long as I reduced the portion sizes, I would lose weight. I could lose weight on the exact same foods that I had GAINED the weight eating. But since I hit my 40’s, nothing really reduces the size of my stomach other than cutting way back on carbs. I don’t care enough to remain on such a diet indefinitely, but for the short term, it does work. I can literally spend HOURS on the treadmill-hours which would have once done the trick-and now it avails me virtually nothing. ONLY cutting sugar works for me at this stage of my life.
