Yes, it will cause you to gain weight if you overeat over a sustained time period, but for some people it’s not that simple. Obesity (and weight gain) is a multi-factorial issue and goes beyond ghrelin spikes. It’s also highly individual. For some, eating frequently throughout the day might help control portions. But for others, they respond better (from a compliance standpoint) to less frequent and larger meals. That’s part of the trail-and-error nature of dieting. You need to figure out what’s going to work best for you.

Great question, Cesar. Keto diets, in general, can help depending on the goal and the person. But, they are not superior to other diet plans. What matters most is finding a diet that is sustainable for several weeks/months. If you are someone that enjoys eating things like pasta, rice, beer, and pizza, Keto could feel really hard. And when it comes to diet/nutrition—feeling “hard” does not equal better outcomes. Usually it is the opposite. Keto isn’t better or worse than other diets, but it is more restrictive. And the more restrictive a plan, the more likely it will be hard to stick to consistently.

Feeling guilty or over stressed has no benefit and makes no sense really, I think may be even more harmful to ourselves. Why the indulgence then in the first place? But myself as a fitness advocate get involved in those feelings more than often and I guess everybody too, so this is back up for a great and helpful approach. Thank you
